When you are gone, narcissists miss themselves.
When you were with the narcissist, when you supplied the narcissist, the narcissist felt a rich sense of self.
One might even say, they felt a sense of self which they felt good about, proud of even.
This was your doing, it was never them.
When you are out of the picture, narcissists miss the sense of self which you conferred onto them, which they are unable to attain without you.
They miss themselves, the version of themselves, which only you can supply them with.
