No, it slid up the side of my foot, just under the skin by the small toe. It was a toothpick.
My foot hurts worse than yesterday and is more red! Should I have been on the 1000 mg as I requested and not 500 mg that I got? Last time I had this type of problem, I had IV antibiotics AND oral antibiotics at THE SAME TIME! My foot is killing me! Thank you.
No 500 four times a day is the right dose. Foot infections can be very hard to treat due to poor circulation and especially if any wounds weren’t vigorously cleaned immediately.
Oftentimes these do require a visit to the hospital for IV antibiotics and close monitoring.
